AbstractThe traditional view of educational media has been that of a supplement to the conventional classroom lessons. However, to make educational media truly educational, new thinking has focussed on expanding the horizons and audience of educational broadcasting. IH Gunaratne describes Sri Lanka’s efforts to “massify” and democratise educational broadcasting.
