Abstract

Aggressive behaviour comes into being when libidinal and ego forces are frustrated. The libido versus aggression hypothesis has not always clarified the discussion. It is nessessary to distinguish aggression and destruction. The libido versus aggression hypothesis is therefore a handsome tool in psychotherapy, especially for investigating the fantasies of the patient and expressing his instinctual forces.
