Abstract

The question of the system of upbringing work in the general education school is one of the most complex in the theory and practice of upbringing. Its complexity is explained by the diversity, subtlety, and endless nature of this process. An elaboration of the system of upbringing work is possible on the basis of profound knowledge of the regularities of the social development and formation of the consciousness of the rising generations. Somehow, it has become usual to hear: this man has a complete secondary or higher education. It is impossible to make a similar judgment about upbringing; by its essence it can never be completed. Upbringing begins long before a child enters school and continues all his life, in organized instruction, realized by the whole system of public education, in labor, in the process of participation in public life, and in daily life.
