Abstract
We consider under what conditions any narrow neutral resonance, particularly the recently reported state ξ(2.2), could be a Higgs particle, either a fundamental boson or a composite technicolor state. A number of tests are summarized including what is expected in ϒ decay, b-quark decay, Z 0 decays, branching ratios and properties of ξ(2.2) decay, and production at hadron machines. Implications for the standard model, technicolor, and supersymmetry are discussed.
