Abstract

This article is written to draw attention to plane convex sets as a possible supplemental unit in a high school ge-ometry course. The study of convex sets is udvisable for a number of reasons: (1) it has close ties with other branches of mathemtics, (2) it is geometrically intuitive in its initial stapes, and (3) the apparatus necessary for work in the field is not complex, that is, no analytic apparatus is used.
