Abstract

A phenomenological approach to analysing the materials behaviour with account of damage accumulation under action of external loading and temperature changes is considered in the present study. Inclusion of damage parameters into the state equation allows a compact analytical description of the material deterioration during such mechanical processes as plastic flow and creep. In particular, the cases of uniaxial isothermal plastic flow, plastic flow under cyclic loading and creep process under variable load and temperature were investigated.
