Abstract

Some properties of boolean functions are presented. Assuming that all boolean functions of n variables are randomly generated, those properties are used to calculate the probabilities of a minterm being a prime implicant or an essential prime implicant or of a prime implicant being an essential primo implicant. Numerical results for n≤10 were obtained usign a computer program.
