Abstract

Scintillation pulse height spectra were examined for thirty-five natural diamonds under alpha-particle bombardment, and the mean pulse heights V0 and dispersions η were found to be largely uncorrelated with the type I and type II classification. After-pulses of about 50 msec duration were observed for all specimens and their variation with particle energy was investigated.
