Abstract

One of the most remarkable contributions in Luraghi’s (2003) book is her extensive use of ‘fictive motion’ to explain some apparently ‘deviant’ uses of the accusative in prepositional phrases. In this paper I question some of her claims concerning the spatial uses of the prepositions παρά, ὑπέρ, κατά and περί.
