Abstract

A problematic Earlier Egyptian nominal sentence construction with the negation nn is discussed and shown to reveal a number of wider issues pertaining to the syntax and semantics of verbal and non-verbal sentences in Earlier Egyptian, as well as to the logic of negations in this language and in general.
