Abstract

Robert Willson, a faculty member of the University of Miami an department, spent the summer of 1964 in Murano, Italy, where he worked in glass sculpture under a Humanities Research Grant awarded him by the University. With the cooperation, advice, and assistance of the Fratelli Toso and Alfredo Barbini glass factories in Murano, Willson was able to make a significant step forward in the experiments in glass sculpture which he began eight years ago.
