Abstract

A summary of the instrumentation and principles involved in photoelectron spectroscopy is presented. Brief descriptions of the available commercial instruments are given. Results both in the low energy area (molecular photoelectron spectroscopy) and the high energy area (ESCA) are reviewed, with emphasis on recent data and/or controversial new areas of study.
