Abstract
The dynamical processes have been considered and limiting conditions of the working regimes derived for self-locking mechanisms with one degree of freedom. It has been found that some restrictions of inertial parameters would have to be taken to exclude dynamic jamming. The dependence of frictional characteristics as a function of the relative velocity of the links has been investigated.
