Abstract

1. 1. The quail ovomucoid migrated much faster than the chicken ovomucoid on the polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis. 2. 2. Carbohydrate contents were significantly lesser in the quail ovomucoid, especially in hexose and hexosamine, than the chicken ovomucoid. 3. 3. Antitryptic property of the quail ovomucoid was slightly more heat resistant than that of the chicken ovomucoid. 4. 4. The isoelectric point of the quail ovomucoid was 4.4.
