Abstract

It was conducted a histochemical study on the "acidic" and "basic" proteins by Mikel Calvo in ductal breast carcinoma and fibroadenoma tissues with quantitative assessment of colour by computer mikrospektrofotometry. The following was established. Ductal breast carcinoma is characterized by a predominance of "acidic" proteins on the "basic" proteins in tumour epithelial cells and connective tissue fibers of different locations. However, the prevalence of "acidic" proteins is the most expressed in connective tissue fibers in the zone around the tumour, and the least - in tumour epithelial cells. It is also important, that there is a predominance of "acidic" proteins over the "basic" in the connective tissue fibers of stromal tumour zone II, compared with the zone I. Correlation between the "acidic" and "basic" proteins in tumour epithelial cells almost equal in fibroadenoma, although this figure may be different in some women. In the zone around the tumour of connective tissue fibers predominate "acidic" proteins, and in stromal connective tumour tissue fibers predominate "basic" proteins.
