Abstract
Abstract On Chairman Mao's instructions, the Second Plenary Session of the Tenth Central Committee and the Fourth National People's Congress put forth the splendid task of developing our national economy during the next twenty-five years. The first stage is to build an independent and relatively comprehensive industrial and economic system before 1980; the second stage is to bring about the comprehensive modernization of agriculture, industry, national defense, and science and technology before the end of the century so that our national economy will be advancing in the front ranks of the world. The next decade is the crucial period for accomplishing the two aforementioned stages of the plan. Under the guidance of Chairman Mao's revolutionary line, we must work hard and bring about a new leap forward in our national economy.
