Abstract

During the last decade in the study of the impurity spectra of solids, considerable attention has been paid to both the theoretical and experimental problems of no-phonon lines and phonon sidebands. This interest is reasonable: no-phonon lines represent clear-cut narrow spectral lines which are highly sensitive to the slightest alterations of the physical situation in the impurity centre. The ω:Δω) relation for the frequency ω broadening Δω) is often about 104 and may be even more.
