Abstract

Paul L. Kirk, Ph.D., is a Professor of Criminalistics, School of Criminology, University of California and an associate editor of this Journal. Professor Kirk is the author of Crime Investigation and has published numerous articles in this and other scientific publications describing the results of research in the field of criminalistics. Mrs. Charlotte Brown is a graduate of the School of Criminology, University of California, and the last several years has served as an assistant to Professor Kirk. She is a coauthor with him of an article An Improved Density Gradient Technique, which appeared in the November-December 1952 issue of this Journal. A. Boyd Conners was a student at the School of Criminology when the research for this paper was being carried out.-EDITOR.
