Abstract
The new complexes MoOCl 3 · 2Ph 2SO and WOCl 4 · Ph 3PO have been prepared by the reaction of MoCl 5 and WOCl 4 with the appropriate ligand. These complexes have been characterised by analysis, infrared and Raman spectra, X-ray powder diffraction and measurements of melting point, electrical conductivity and molecular weight. Some physical properties of NbOCl 3 · 2L (where L = Ph 2SO, Ph 3PO and (Me 2N) 3PO) are reported.
