Abstract

In this section, I would like to discuss certain pathologic phenomena that have been analyzed in the perspective of developmental psychology during some of our studies at the University of Geneva. The following fields are involved: reasoning of the mentally retarded child, reasoning of the senile dement, reasoning of the so-called “pre-psychotic” child, and operativity and impairment of symbolic imagery in the dysphasic, dyslexic, or dyspraxic child. The discussion will follow that same order.
