Abstract

The effects of an oxygen pressure on YIG single crystals grown from PbF2 rich fluxes are: (a) larger crystals, (b) glossy appearance, (c) raised leading edges, and (d) more flux inclusions up to 2.2 kg cm−2 pressure after which they decrease in percentage to the normal values of air grown garnets.
