Some Observations on the Coupling Matrix

Abstract

Because the coupling matrix is a narrow band, lumped element approximation, its predicted performance does not always match what we realize in measured hardware. For many filter topologies, like the cavity combline, a network theory model or EM simulation is a more reliable predictor of actual performance.
