Abstract

Secondary particle production through “fireballs” in nucleon-nucleus interaction at 24 GeV/c has been accepted to establish the spin of fireballs. Distribution function sin2jθd (cosθ) is taken into account to estimate the spin of each particular fireball. Coplanarity of the secondaries which until now was an assumption of previous workers has been proved in this paper to be true. Masses of fireballs are calculated from the spin-mass relation. The main feature of this paper is an independent theoretical formulation by the authors to fit their own experimental data.
