Abstract

Abstract Observations on certain medium-frequency transmissions after nuclear explosions show that they were affected by both short-term and long-term ionospheric absorption phenomena. Observations on high-frequency radio stations indicate a shorter period of absorption, and in some instances an enhancement in reception at the higher end of the HF spectrum.
