Abstract
The complexes MBr 4· xL ( x = 2, L ≡ ( i-Pr 2N)(Me 2N)CO, ( i-Pr 2N)-(Ph 2N)CO , ( i-Bu 2N )(Me 2N)CO, M ≡ Th and U; x = 2, L ≡ (Et 2N)(Me 2N)CO (dedmu), (MePhN) 2CO (dmdpu), (Me 2N) 2CO and (Et 2N) 2CO, M ≡ Th; x = 3, L ≡ dmdpu and dedmu, M ≡ Th) have been prepared. The IR and near IR-visible spectra (uranium compounds only) of the complexes are reported.
