Abstract

The article discusses recent research and educational challenges faced by the statistics in the world of fast-growing possibilities of collecting and processing data (Big Data) and the increasingly dominant in social and economic life numerical description of reality. These new phenomena and trends should encourage statisticians’ environment to take action of improving society statistical knowledge needed to critically evaluate and correct interpretation of the survey results.
