Abstract

Abstract The article discusses results of a field study. During the study, at the same location, i. e. the Vilnius environs, in permanent routes, four observers registered dates of the first spring arrival of birds. Comparing data collected, we managed to define errors of arrival date registration. These errors are inevitable once persons collect data singly. We also defined error variations in birds of different groups.
