Abstract

AbstractThe experimental preparation of certain less common, pure metallic compounds of selected unsaturated fatty acids is described. The metal content of these compounds has been determined, and the probability that certain of these derivatives may be physical complexes, rather than true chemical compounds, is discussed. The general properties of the derivatives arc described, particularly their catalytic influence in autoxidation of unsaturated mono‐ethenoid acids. The influence of the nature and configuration of the acid radical in each autoxidation is discussed.
