Abstract
This correspondence gives a tabulation of long systematic, and long quick-look-in (QLI) nonsystematic, rate <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">R = 1/2</tex> binary convolutional codes with an optimum distance profile (ODP). These codes appear attractive for use with sequential decoders.
