Abstract
Pelitic strata belonging to the Tatsuno Formation (Maizuru Group s.l., southwest Japan) yielded a well-preserved radiolarian fauna, Late Permian in age, of which one genus ( Quadricaulis) and five species are new. These radiolarians are assigned to 27 species, 13 genera and 7 families. The taxa described substantially increase our knowledge of Late Permian spherical and stauraxon spumellarines and Follicucullidae.
