Abstract
THE EQUATIONS of a one-dimensional unsteady gas-dynamic flow with sources of mass, momentum and energy are considered. The role of the sources is explained by the example of the self-similar problem of a piston with the aid of theoretical analysis, and also of numerical calculations.
