Abstract

Nine more observations have been made since a previous account was written ( Swallow, 1955) of the design of a neutrally-buoyant float and its use in current-measuring. Currents ranging from 22 to 0·8 cm/sec have been measured, at depths between 340 and 2,900 meters. Some improvements have been made in the method of tracking the floats, and in determining the depths at which they become neutrally buoyant.
