Some features on the development trend of science and technology in Ba Ria-Vung Tau province in the 21st century

Abstract

Science and technology have gained important strides and remarkable achievements in Ba Ria-Vung Tau, which has made important contributions to the promotion of the province’s strong socio-economic growth and has led Ba Ria-Vung Tau from a poor and backward province to become a bright spot in a dynamic economic region in the South. Apart from those achievements, there also exist many shortcomings, inadequacies, weaknesses in science and technology in Ba Ria-Vung Tau. They are such valuable experiences that the leaders, Party, government and people of Ba Ria-Vung Tau need to overcome in order to lead the province's science and technology to develop in the right direction of the twenty-first century science and technology. The solutions to scientific and technological development were worked out in the hope that the proper promotion of science and technology’s role is the first national policy and the motivation of socio-economic growth so that Ba Ria-Vung Tau itself becomes a bright spot, even brighter, and spreads more powerfully not only in a dynamic economic region in the South but also all over the South and the country.
