Abstract

An experimental investigation was made of the influence of weak passive Q switching in a spherical resonator on the output characteristics of a ruby laser. The caustic section of the resonator was covered partly with a glass filter. Variation of the covered area made it possible to obtain a range of stimulated emission regimes from quasicontinuous to periodic pulsations.
