Abstract
Some features of the geodynamics of the Neoproterozoic are considered: the formation of supercontinents, changes in the nature of subduction, an increase in the area of continental plates and the speed of their movement, the manifestation of asymmetry in the tectonic development of the Northern and Southern hemispheres. These changes largely predetermined the transition to the modern style of geodynamics and new global ecological, biogeochemical and other conditions.
