various tissues of guinea pigs. Observations have been made on adults and on embryos of mothers given a vitamin C-free diet. The purpose of this experiment was to discover whether or not the absence of vitamin C in the diet produced a different histological picture of the cortex of the adrenal gland than was found in guinea pigs that had an ample amount of vitamin C in the diet to maintain health and growth.
