Abstract

Field electron emission from YBa 2Cu 3O 7 − x ceramic samples was studied. For superconducting samples the emission localization effect was observed. Depending on the electric field strength and emitter temperature the transition from the localized spot to the surrounding ring appears. The effect of electron beam precession was also observed. The feasible mechanism of the appearance of the above effects may be connected with the existence of electron pairs in high- T c superconductors.
