Abstract

The standard bus proposed by J.D. Nicoud is compared with a logical input-output port proposed by Bisiani and Tisato. The logical point of view is emphasized. An implementation of the interface between the INTEL 8080 and the standard bus is presented. The circuit described is very simple while still retaining all the features one could obtain with the INTEL bus controller 8228.
