Abstract
A new type noise proof ceramic capacitor for fluorescent lamps is described and discussed.The new type ceramic capacitor has small inductance coil in series connection.The structure of this capacitor has been determined on the results of the experiments of the relation among starting voltage, radio interference, wave form of applied voltage to the noise proof capacitor and magnitude of coil inductance.The effect of the series coil in a capacitor makes fluorescent lamp start easily by shifting the phase of voltage current.Therefore this capacitor improves the effective life of fluorescent lamps and prevents the electrodes of glow lamps from melting.The output impedance of fluorescent lamps as radio frequency noise source is measured.
