Abstract

In the Fe(CO)5-catalyzed telomerization of propylene with CCl4 at 105°, it was found that the reaction time affects the distribution of the telomer homologs (at low conversions of the reactants). The composition of the products in the telomerization of ethylene with CCl4 is independent of either changes in the Fe(CO)5 concentration or the reaction time. The possible reasons for these effects are discussed.
