Abstract

In the recent Everyone Counts document, NHS England describes its role in helping commissioners to deliver innovation and increase productivity, as well as facilitating patient choice and empowering local clinicians to improve the outcomes of care. To achieve this, their board will oversee the expansion of publicly available information on the outcomes of healthcare. The NHS Outcomes Framework will be an important element of this, and commissioners and providers will be expected to make improvements across its various indicators.
