Abstract

Using computer programs written in BASIC and the graphics facilities of microcomputers, students can be made aware of the assumptions of statistical models. The paper deals with the author's approach to two topics—linear regression and the design of experiments which are usually taught in appreciation courses for students not specialising in Statistics.
