Abstract

In this paper, we study two semilinear elliptic interface problems arising in population dynamics. In both problems, each population lives in a subdomain and they interact in a common border, which acts as a geographical barrier. We analyze the existence and uniqueness of positive solutions. For that, we need a detailed study of the eigenvalue problems associated to the problems.
