Abstract

The development of water resources in the Caribbean island of Trinidad has lagged behind the other aspects of its socio-economic development. This paper outlines the underlying causes for the underdevelopment of the island's water resources and presents a critical review of its current state. Further, it is hoped that this paper will serve as a useful background for planning a modern study for improving the management of Trinidad's water resources.
