Abstract

Summary o (1) In pulmonary tuberculosis streptomycin and PAS are of most value when used in association with collapse therapy. (2) In certain cases met with in clinic practice, chemotherapy should be given without delay. Some indications for this are given, and suggestions are made to safeguard the use of streptomycin and PAS before admission to sanatorium. (3) The aims of chemotherapy used in association with collapse therapy, are discussed. (4) PAS alone may sometimes be of value in treatment, and as a public health measure.
