Abstract

This Paper is concerned mainly with the design of master oscillator ovens. It concludes with a brief description of a variable temperature plant useful for measurement purposes.Thermostats of the bimetallic and mercury type are briefly discussed and three electronic thermostats are treated in more detail. The application of these to practical oven design follows, and experimental results are given to show the influence of heat insulation on the ambient deviation reducing factor and upon thermostat ripple.
