Abstract

The Osprey population of Corsica (West Mediterranean) has been the object of a study for 13 nesting seasons. A difference of more than two months separates the fledging of the earliest and latest broods. The average date for fledging is the first week in July. Territories that have been occupied for several successive years have a higher rate of reproductive success, and fledging is earlier than on newly occupied territories.
