Abstract

When looking at the process of accelerated development in general, it becomes clear that the development of the economic sector of society is a high-priority objective of every modernising society and has been accordingly emphasised in the discussions at this Conference. Economic development, however, is not an isolated process and is accompanied by considerable changes in the social structure of the societies in which it is taking place. As a matter of fact, changes in social structure are not only a corollary of economic development, but certain changes in the structure of traditional society are essential if viable economic growth is to be effected and maintained.KeywordsMigrant WorkerMigratory LabourKinship SystemVoluntary AssociationTraditional SocietyThese keywords were added by machine and not by the authors.
