Abstract

AbstractA gas chromatograph has been developed with which simple gas mixtures can be analysed rapidly, repetitive separations being possible every few seconds. The instrument operates automatically, sampling from a number of points, and it can be remotely controlled.Changes taking place in the composition of atmospheres, flue gases and engine exhausts, which were too rapid for estimation by conventional sampling and analytical procedures, were followed without difficulty, and the results of these analyses are presented and discussed.
