Co1has parabolic subgroups of the shape 362M12and 31+4Sp4(3)·2. Lyons' simple groupLyhas parabolics of the form 35(M11×2) and 32+4A5D8. We will characterize these parabolics and similar ones found in subgroups ofCo1using the amalgam method.
